High demand makes it a great time to sell
In January we saw the biggest annual month on month house price increase in a generation with 2.3% increase, the price of homes on the market rose by £7,800 between January and February, climbing to £348,800, according to Rightmove.
Springtime brings new properties to the market, and there is an enthusiasm for moving outwards from the cities and still a great appetite for getting that extra room, so we can look forward to another busy season in the Leicestershire housing market.
Increased demand combined with lower numbers of properties coming on the market (10% less year on year in the month of January) means selling your home at a premium is still very much on the cards.
More analysis from Rightmove shows that property transactions are likely to return to pre-pandemic levels sometime later this year. Even more reason to get your house on the market now:
Clare Phillips, Partner at Phillips George said; “The market usually gets going in March, but already this year houses have been selling really quickly, and sellers have been enjoying great returns on their sales. We would be delighted to have a chat with you about selling your house and about how you can make the most out of the sale.”
Now is the time to act to get your house on the market. We at Phillips George are very proud of our reputation for being the best estate agent in the area and love the brilliant feedback we are enjoying reading the many five-star reviews from our happy clients.
