A new survey from Rightmove has found a new wave of buyers now entering the market since before lockdown. Of those who had no plans to move earlier in the year, over a quarter of them (28%) are now saying they are planning to move.

Gardens have become more important to buyers, so it is well worth making the effort to make your outdoor space as attractive as possible, whether it be a small courtyard, or sprawling gardens.

Changing priorities

In the past, kitchen photographs were the most important photo in a property advert, but now you should consider giving greater prominence to pictures of gardens and outdoor spaces to attract the attention and buyers.

Sellers should consider painting the fence and keeping the garden tidy to make their property more attractive.
